New Shade Structure Dedicated at UC Davis

A new shade structure, in support of plant science field teaching and research activities at UC Davis, was dedicated on October 1, 2015. It is located at the Plant Sciences field facilities, west of Highway 113 and south of Hutchison, in a block that is used for the PLS110A and C courses.

Students from this quarter’s PLS110A took part in the ceremony along with Jeff Mitchell, instructor for the PLS110 courses, Jim Jackson, superintendent of field operations, and Paul Gepts, professor and member of the department’s Executive Committee.

Scarlett Kingsley, one of the students, addressed the group, thanking the department for the structure and benches. Here are photos from the event:
