🎓Are you a Life Science student who is interested in getting involved in research? PEAR Life Sciences is a 2-unit course that will help you identify and effectively apply for opportunities and plan for your future in science. Each week we will explore different parts of the research process, focusing throughout on training you to find and get involved in internships, research lab work, and other external forms of research (e.g., summer programs, study abroad opportunities, etc.). We will also practice valuable professional skills, including developing and honing your specific scientific interests, effectively contacting prospective professors and/or graduate student mentors, creating a CV, and planning for potential career paths after college. This FYS is open to all students, but first-year students and transfer students have priority until open registration. The course will be held weekly on Tuesdays from 2:10-4:00 pm.
