Allen van Deynze is the director of the seed biotechnology center and associate director of the plant breeding center at University of California, Davis.

He will be presenting "Breeding for climate change" for his merit seminar. 

Woutrina Smith is the associate dean of global programs for the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine.

Farm advisors from around the state will be presenting, "Challenges and opportunities in California agriculture: The life and times of modern farm advisors."

Huaijun Zhou is a professor in the UC Davis Department of animal science and the director of the the UC Davis Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Genomics to Improve Poultry team. 

Madeleine MacConnell is a Ph.D student in the Maeli Melotto lab. 

She will be presenting "JAZ: the junction of immunity, development, and human pathogen exclusion."

Travis Lybbert is a professor in the UC Davis Institute for Global Nutrition. 

Tom Buckley is a professor in the UC Davis Department of Plant Sciences. Colleen Mills is a Ph.D student in the Tom Buckley lab.  

Mukesh Mehata is a post doctoral student in the UC Davis Department of Plant Sciences. 

He will be presenting "Evaluating Saline Irrigation Management Strategies under Drip Irrigated Pistachio." 

Elise Reynolds is a Ph.D. candidate in the UC Davis nutritional biology graduate group. 

Mark Lundy is an associate professor of cooperative extension in the UC Davis Department of Plant Sciences. Maya Shydlowski is a graduate student in the Cameron Pittelkow lab. She is co-advised by Mark Lundy.
