Sonja Hess will present "An Overview of the CGIAR Science Program on Better Diets and Nutrition" and share findings from ongoing studies in Tanzania and Sri Lanka. This is one in our series of seminars on international agricultural development, held at noon (almost) on Mondays during the school year. The Department of Plant Sciences offers an undergraduate major and a master's degree in the subject. Students learn about sustainable food systems on a global scale, the ecological factors impacting development and the larger social context of agricultural issues.
